Common Questions

What are Theory Rewards?

Theory Rewards is our loyalty program, designed to thank our loyal customers and patients for choosing Theory Wellness. Members earn points on every purchase and are able to redeem those points for discounts on future purchases. Members also receive a special Birthday Reward, and exclusive discounts and offers. Members that opt-in for text and/or email communications receive timely notifications of our sales, promotions, new product launches, and more!

What are the different tiers?

Theory Bronze: This tier is free to join, and all customers start out in this tier. Theory Bronze members earn 2 points for every pre-tax, post-discount dollar spent at Theory Wellness locations in New Jersey. Theory Bronze members also receive a special birthday reward, specials and other offers.

Theory Silver: Customers leave Theory Bronze and enter Theory Silver once they’ve spent more than $500 within a calendar year. Theory Silver members earn 4 points for every pre-tax, post-discount dollar spent at Theory Wellness New Jersey Location. Theory Silver members also receive a special annual gift, a birthday reward, and exclusive coupons and offers.

Theory Gold: Customers leave Theory Silver and enter Theory Gold once they’ve spent more than $2,500 within a calendar year. Theory Gold members earn 6x points for every pre-tax, post-discount dollar spent at Theory Wellness. Theory Gold members also receive a special Birthday Reward, coupons, special offers, and special in-store events.

What can I use my points on?

Once you’ve earned at least 500 points, you can start cashing in for rewards. 500 points can be used for $5 off your purchase, 1000 points can be used for $10 off your purchase, and 2000 points can be used for $20 off your purchase, and so on.

How long does my tier status last?

When you qualify for a higher tier, you will keep your status until December 31st of the year you reached that tier. Customers will need to re-qualify every year to extend that status.

How is ‘annual spend’ calculated?

Annual Spend refers to total qualified spending between January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. This takes into account total post-discount spend, including tax.

Example: If you spent $1000 pre-tax within a calendar year and paid $200 in taxes, your annual spend is $1200.

How do I earn points?

Points are earned every time you shop and are calculated based on your total pre-tax and post-discount spend.

Additional points can be earned by:

Leaving a Google Review 200 points
Referring a friend 500 points
Following us on Social 100 points
Spending over $150 on one purchase 300 points
Visiting 5 times in a 1 month period 1,000 points

Will I earn points on online orders?

Yes, your points will be applied once you finalize the transaction in person.

How do I enroll for the program?

To redeem points online, simply enter the phone number associated with your loyalty account at checkout and click the ‘Connect’ button. You’ll receive a 4-digit code via text to link your account. Once connected, scroll down to the Rewards section and click ‘Apply’ under the reward you’d like to use. Please note that only one reward can be applied per transaction online, but your cannabis consultant can assist with adding additional rewards at checkout if needed.

For in-store redemption, let your cannabis consultant know you’d like to use your rewards. They will ask you to confirm your phone number and apply the reward to your purchase. Keep in mind that rewards cannot be used toward the purchase of gift certificates and must be redeemed in full increments, as partial redemptions are not allowed.

Important: To earn points, the details on your pre-order must match the information in your loyalty account (e.g., phone number and name). Ensure your account information is accurate to avoid missing out on points.

Can I use my points with other discounts?

Yes, you can use your points on transactions regardless of other discount applications, unless otherwise specified.

Can I share my account with a friend/family member?

No, your loyalty rewards account is individual and non-transferable.

Do my points expire?

Points expire on a rolling 365 day basis for inactive profiles. Profile activity is defined as making a purchase (using currency or points). This policy is subject to change at any time.

How soon can I redeem my points?

Points may take up to 24 hours to appear in your profile. If your points have not arrived and it has been more than 24 hours, please email [email protected].

How do I make a change to my profile?

Please email [email protected] for any account change requests.

Can I use my points at Theory Wellness locations outside of NJ?

No, your reward points are state specific. If you move states, please let us know by contacting [email protected] and we’ll update your profile.

What should I do if I’m having trouble & I don’t find the answer to my problem in the FAQs?

Get in touch with us by emailing [email protected] & we’ll help solve your problem as soon as possible. If you are in the store, ask to speak to a manager and they can find your profile in the system to troubleshoot the issue. We are happy to help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
